Why drone shows can’t just be fixed prices

Explain why drone light show quotes must incorporate site, date, fleet size and pattern complexity assessments to avoid looking at just one fixed unit price.

When many organizers inquire about drone light shows for the first time, they will directly ask for a fixed price. But drone performance is not a standard commodity, it is more like an event execution plan: venue, date, performance content, weather, viewing distance and safety boundaries will all affect the final arrangement.

Fleet size is only part of the price

The number of drones will affect the detail of the picture and the content that can be presented, but it is not the only factor. Simple text, brand logo, dragon and phoenix shapes, city symbols and continuous animation have different requirements for script design and execution preparation.

Event dates and execution windows also affect quotes

  • Popular event schedules usually require earlier confirmation of scheduling.
  • Offsite execution will bring with it transportation, lodging and equipment transfer arrangements.
  • Last-minute expediting will compress creative design and preparation time.
  • Weather windows can affect whether plans can ultimately be executed.

Site conditions will change execution complexity

Whether the take-off and landing area is open, whether the spectator area is controllable, whether there are high-voltage lines, buildings or complex electromagnetic environments around it will all affect on-site preparation. The more complex the site, the more detailed the security assessment and enforcement arrangements.

It is best for the organizer to prepare this information first

  • Event date, city and venue photos
  • Estimated number of viewers and viewing direction
  • The text, logo, and theme elements you want to display
  • Budget range and sponsor process
  • On-site contacts and safety requirements
A more reasonable communication method is to first look at the event goals and on-site conditions, and then determine the appropriate performance scale, content complexity, and budget.
